Cover illustration: 4-Amino-5-(4-bromo­benzo­yl)-3-(benzo[d]thia­zol-2-yl)-2-[(2′,3′,4′,6′-tetra-O-acetyl-β-D-galacto­pyran­osyl­)sulfanyl]­thio­phene was obtained as part of a study to design and synthesize benzothiazole-based thiophene thioglycosides and is the first reported X-ray structure of the new compound type benzothiazole-2-thiophene thioglycoside. The crystal structure of a two-dimensional metal–organic compound constructed from 4,4′-bis­[(1H-imidazol-1-yl)meth­yl]-1,1′-biphenyl (BIMB) and nickel ions is described. Each BIMB ligand adopts a linear linker to connect Ni2+ ions, forming a layer with an sql network. In the crystal, neighboring layers repeat in an ABAB stacking mode, and weak inter­molecular C—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds between alternate layers lead to a three-dimensional, twofold inter­penetrated, supra­molecular framework with a pcu topology net.

The central manganese(III) atom has a distorted square-pyramidal coordination environment, defined by the porphyrin N atoms in the basal plane and a nitrate O atom in the apical site.

In the title mol­ecular salt, 2C12H19N2O+·C4H2O42−·2C4H4O4, the components are held together by N—H⋯O and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along [001].

In the title indole derivative, which was prepared by a facile synthetic method, the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 76.24 (7)°.

In the title 1:2 co-crystal, C—I⋯N halogen bonds between one of the 1,2,3,5-tetra­fluoro-4,6-di­iodo­benzene mol­ecules and the 5-{[4-(di­methyl­amino)­phen­yl]ethyn­yl}pyrimidine mol­ecule form [110] chains while the second 1,2,3,5-tetra­fluoro-4,6-di­iodo­benzene mol­ecule resides in [100] channels.

The benzo­thia­zole and thio­phene rings are almost coplanar. The NH2 group forms intra­molecular hydrogen bonds. The Sgalactose—Cthio­phene bond is short. The mol­ecules are connected by two `weak' hydrogen bonds and a short N⋯S contact.

A new organic salt of diclofenac, [2-(2,6-di­chloro­anilino)phen­yl]acetate, with mono­ethano­lammonium and water has been obtained, and its structure has been established by X-ray analysis.
