Cover illustration: (Cobaltoceniumylamido)pyridinium hexafluoridophosphate [Co(C5H5)(C10H9N2)]PF6, was synthesized from deprotonated 1-aminopyridinium iodide, followed by microwave-assisted nucleophilic aromatic substitution of iodo-cobaltocenium iodide. After anion exchange with potassium hexafluoridophosphate, it crystallized as orange prisms in the space group Pc. This very stable pyridine nitrene adduct is the first example of a cobaltocenium derivative, formally containing a nitrene nitrogen species. An updated structure is reported for a bis(oxo) MoVI complex that is modeled after the molybdenum cofactor. An analysis of lengths and angles suggests that this dataset offers a more accurate depiction of bonding for the MoVI=O moiety.

The asymmetric unit of the title coordination polymer [Zn(C9H6NO2)2(C10H8N4)]n, consists of one ZnII cation, one bidentate 1H-indole-5-carboxylate (I5C) anion and half of a 4,4′-azobipyridine (Abpy) neutral ligand. The coordination polymer is stabilized by a combination of N—H⋯O and C—H⋯π interactions, which leads to the formation of wave-like two-dimensional coordination polymeric layers.

The title coumarin derivative was isolated from the plants of Sophora japonica. In the crystal, molecules are linked by O—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains along the [101] direction.

In the crystal of the title cyclohexylidene derivative, molecules associate via C—H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

The title compound arose from an unexpected alcoholysis of a prodrug by the methanol solvent.
