Experimental apparatus (schematic) of the radiography at BL20B2 of SPring-8. The Si 311 double-crystal monochromator in (+,−) arrangement was located about 37 m from the source. The source size at the bending magnet was 290 µm in the horizontal and 44 µm in the vertical direction. These values are the sum of 1σ of each side of the intensity distribution that is defined in a Gaussian curve (Soutome et al., 1999  ; Tanaka et al., 2000). Using expression (3), the calculated coherence length of the incident X-ray beams is 29 µm horizontally and 187 µm vertically at 30 keV. Here, l = 200 m is used for the observation distance. The image contrast is strongly dependent on the sample-to-film distance, Z. |
