The filled circles are from experiment 1 (in Ne) and the open circles from experiment 2 (in He). The thick solid line is a third-order Burch–Murnaghan EoS fitted to all the data (Table 2[link]). The dashed line is the EoS fitted to the ab initio simulations from Vočadlo et al. (2012BB19), which has been corrected so that its V0 is equal to that of the experimentally determined value. The uncorrected ab initio EoS is represented by the dash–dot line. The thin solid red line is the EoS fitted to the PV data of Lord et al. (2012BB15; red squares), which was produced using NaCl as the pressure medium coupled with laser annealing on a stoichiometric NiSi sample.
