The difference map (data − model) is calculated for the pixels inside the filters shown in Fig. 3[link]. It is calibrated by the local mean-square deviation in order to allow comparison between pixels. Here a vertical mis-setting appears clearly. Its origin is a small error in the centre position. Using non-centred functions (with the centre coordinates as variables) instead of the centred ones allowed an excellent fit to be obtained.
